
Windows 11 KB5058499 Update Brings New Features, HDR Enhancements, and Bug Fixes
Microsoft has rolled out a major new update for Windows 11 version 24H2, labeled KB5058499 , with build number 26100.4202 . The update is now available via Windows Update as an optional download, or through the Microsoft Update Catalog.
This latest release introduces a range of new features and usability improvements across several system components, alongside numerous bug fixes aimed at enhancing stability and performance.
What’s New in KB5058499?
- Click to Do Gets Expanded Functionality : Now supports text actions on AMD and Intel-based systems, along with a new “Ask Copilot” option. It’s also rolling out to users in the European Economic Area with support for Spanish and French. You can now assign the tool to your stylus’ shortcut button for quicker access.
- Copilot Enhancements : Users can now customize the Win + C shortcut and the Copilot key, including the ability to hold them down to activate voice input. On Copilot+ PCs , Windows Search can interpret natural language queries, and Narrator gains the ability to generate detailed image descriptions.
- Settings Overhaul :
- Stream HDR video even when HDR is disabled.
- Toggle Dolby Vision independently from HDR settings.
- A new FAQ section added under System > About to help users understand their PC specs.
- Improved consistency in UI design, such as updated printer rename interface and more mouse settings moved from Control Panel to the modern Settings app (Accessibility > Mouse > Mouse pointer and touch ).

Known Issue
A minor known issue remains: Noto fonts may appear blurry in Chromium-based browsers on systems using Chinese, Japanese, or Korean language settings.
