US Secretary of the Army, former armored officer and Iraq War veteran Daniel Driscoll gave a short interview to Business Insider, in which he spoke about the future of tanks.
According to the minister, the tactics of using tanks on the battlefield will change significantly due to the emergence of kamikaze drones, anti-tank missiles and other threats. They will remain on the battlefield, but will be stationed in remote positions, and unmanned vehicles will be the first to attack.
Driscoll named various types of unmanned systems, robotics, cyber weapons, human-machine integration, improved night vision devices, more maneuverable vehicles, as well as the rapid flow of operational information that will help commanders make decisions as the key technologies of future warfare.
