Samsung Galaxy S25 FE May Ditch Exynos for MediaTek Dimensity 9400

Following the October release of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE , rumors about its successor — the Galaxy S25 FE — are already surfacing. Initially, it was believed the phone would be powered by the same chipset as its predecessor: the Exynos 2400e . That news didn’t sit well with many fans, as the Exynos chip has been criticized for falling short in performance compared to global variants.

However, a fresh report suggests Samsung might have a backup plan: the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 . While this sounds promising — especially given the Dimensity 9400’s rumored flagship-level performance — it’s not a guaranteed switch.

According to the latest intel, Samsung still prefers using its own Exynos 2400e , mainly due to cost advantages. The move to MediaTek would only happen if Samsung’s foundry struggles to produce enough Exynos chips to meet demand.

Beyond the potential chipset change, reports suggest the rest of the device may see minimal upgrades over the S24 FE. That means the Dimensity shift could be one of the few compelling reasons to upgrade.

Of course, all of this is speculative at this point. With the Galaxy S25 FE likely months away from launch, details may evolve. For now, it’s worth keeping expectations in check — but also exciting to see Samsung possibly considering a new direction.

Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to launch.
