Intel Slashes Prices on Core Ultra 7 200-Series Desktop CPUs by Up to 25%

In a surprising move aimed at boosting competitiveness in the desktop market, Intel has officially reduced the pricing of its Core Ultra 7 200-series (Meteor Lake) processors by up to 25% , according to updated pricing documents and confirmed reports.

This marks one of the first major price adjustments for Intel’s latest-generation desktop CPUs since their launch earlier this year.  (price drop) brings the flagship Core Ultra 7 265K down from its original $399 MSRP to as low as $299 in some regions — directly positioning it against AMD’s Ryzen 7 9700X and NVIDIA’s GeForce-focused competitors in value-oriented builds.

What This Means for Builders and Buyers

With improved thermal performance, hybrid architecture enhancements, and now more competitive pricing, Intel’s Ultra 7 200-series becomes a stronger contender in the mid-to-high-end desktop space — especially for users prioritizing AI capabilities, power efficiency, and integrated graphics.
