Google Brings Veo 3 AI Video Tool to New Markets and Mobile Devices

Before the launch of Veo 3 , DeepMind had already set a high standard with the release of Veo 2 in December 2024, positioning itself in direct competition with OpenAI’s Sora , which debuted the same day. Now, Google has taken the next step by rolling out Veo 3 , its most advanced AI video generation model yet, to more regions and platforms.

The upgraded tool is now available to users in the UK via the Google AI Ultra subscription plan, priced at $249.99/month . With this expansion, Veo 3 is now accessible in 73 countries , with more on the way. Subscribers enjoy full access to Veo 3 through Flow , Google’s desktop and web platform tailored for AI-powered filmmaking, as well as the Gemini mobile app .

For Pro-tier users , access remains more limited but still valuable. They receive a monthly allocation of 10 trial video generations via the Gemini app, along with restricted use of Veo 3 within Flow. Starting today, Pro users can also access Veo 3 directly from the Gemini mobile interface — a new addition that expands their creative capabilities.

A Stronger Focus on Transparency

Beyond geographic expansion, Google is doubling down on transparency in AI-generated content . All videos created using Google’s generative AI tools now include an invisible SynthID watermark — a digital fingerprint that allows downstream tools to detect whether the content was machine-generated.

Recently, Google launched the SynthID Detector with a small group of early testers and plans to roll it out more widely in the coming weeks.

Additionally, all videos generated using Veo 3 now carry a visible watermark , except for those made by Ultra subscribers using Flow. This move aligns with industry efforts to clearly label AI-generated media, helping to build trust and prevent misuse.
