For Star Wars Day
To celebrate Star Wars Day, Disney has released a limited edition G1T4-M1N1 droid inspired by the iconic R2-D2. As Gizmodo reports, the new product, created by Piaggio Fast Forward, costs $2,875.
The G1T4-M1N1 is equipped with Bluetooth speakers for playing music, cameras and sensors that allow it to recognize and follow its owner at speeds of up to 10 km/h. The built-in compartment can hold up to 9 kg of cargo. With up to 7 hours of autonomy and control via an iOS and Android app, it promises to be a “faithful companion.” Users can name it and customize its behavior.
However, Disney does not allow returns or exchanges. The droid will be on display at the Disney Store in Times Square until May 6, and orders are available online now. For fans willing to shell out a pretty penny, the G1T4-M1N1 is the best option.
