Amid Rising Prices To make money,

It has become known that Chinese companies working in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) have begun to sell NVIDIA RTX 4090D graphics cards with increased memory in large quantities. These graphics processing units (GPUs), originally modified for AI tasks, are now being dumped on the market due to a decrease in demand for computing power in China. Prices for such cards reach $5,500, which allows companies to quickly recoup their investments.

The RTX 4090D is a special version of the graphics card developed by NVIDIA for the Chinese market to comply with US export restrictions that prohibit the shipment of powerful GPUs that can be used for AI.

Chinese firms have been beefing up their server memory, but now, with data centers running at just 20% capacity, the excess hardware is being sold off, driven by both an overestimation of AI demand and new US sanctions that are limiting supply of chips including the H20 and possibly the RTX 5090D.
