The new model will be part of Apple’s updated strategy
Apple plans to introduce the iPhone 19 Air with a larger screen in the second half of 2027, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports, citing the company’s internal roadmap.
The new smartphone is expected to be a continuation of the thin Air line of models. According to forecasts, the iPhone 19 Air will have a larger display compared to the iPhone 18 Air, which is scheduled for release in 2026. Although the exact parameters are not disclosed, it is known that the previous model, the iPhone 17 Air, will have a 6.6-inch screen.
The expansion of the Air series indicates Apple’s desire to diversify its smartphone lineup. According to the analyst, the company is responding to increasing competition, especially in the Chinese market. In response, Apple may switch to a two-stage release schedule from 2026, releasing new models twice a year.
In addition to the iPhone 19 Air, a second version of the foldable iPhone is expected in 2027. The first model with a flexible screen should be released in late 2026.
