AMD Releases New Driver to Fix F1 25 Path Tracing Crashes

AMD has rolled out a new Adrenalin Edition 25.5.2 Optional Driver (version 25.10.01.12) for Windows 10 and 11, aimed at resolving crashes in F1 25 when using path tracing on Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs. This is also the first driver to offer official support for the racing title.

Unlike standard releases, this version isn’t WHQL-certified yet, as AMD pushed it out quickly to address reported issues. In addition to the fix, AMD listed a few known problems impacting Radeon RX 9000 users:

  • Performance drops and stuttering during multi-monitor Discord streaming and alt-tabbing
  • Random system crashes when using high-resolution displays with FreeSync enabled

The update also includes the Ryzen AI NPU MCDM Driver v32.00.0203.258 , expanding support for systems with Ryzen AI capabilities.

This driver is compatible with Radeon RX 5000 through RX 9000 series graphics cards. You can download it directly from AMD’s official website , where full release notes are also available.
